You can make mass changes to selected items records. A mass deletion deletes groups of database records. For example, you could use this procedure to delete the inventory records for a manufacturer’s line that you no longer carry.

A mass deletion can also delete specific records for a group of database records. For instance, you could delete the Inventory Usage Record from a group of inventory database records.

There are three basic changes you can make to a selector to implement a mass delete: limiting, modifying, and deleting information that appears in the selector. If you make a mistake when making these changes, you can go back to the limits, modifies, or deletes you specified and change or delete them.

Before you begin deleting, you must make a backup of the file you are about to delete.

Note: If a password has been assigned in the Master Password in the (X) Program Security screen, you are required to enter that password before executing a mass delete procedure.

To make mass deletions in a database, use a selector to define and limit the records to delete. For more information on mass deletions, go to Using the (+EK) Screen.
