In the (+G) Screen
Once you have created inventory files using the M3000 portable bar code scanner, you need to download these files to your system. Once these inventory files are on the hard drive, they can be converted to the same file format used by the file SHORT-BUYS. This allows you to transfer the counts to a purchase order for release to on-hand. Downloading the inventory files from the scanner and converting them to the SHORT-BUYS file format is done through the (+G) Special Portable Scanner screen. This screen was developed specifically to control the interaction of the scanner with your DDMS system.
The (+G) screen is also used to download setup information and inventory scanning programs from your system to the M3000 scanner. This must be done before you can use the scanner to count your inventory.
