Item Concepts

The History tab shows extended history of quantities sold for the past 24 months and total number of hits (number of items sold) for the last 12 months, for selected items. These totals are displayed in columns based on calendar months. The quantities sold figures are displayed by general ledger location. The total hits figures are displayed by inventory location.

The 1-12 column shows figures for each month that has passed in the current year; for each month that has not passed in the current year, the 1-12 column shows totals for the previous year. Each monthly total in the 13-24 column is one year older than the corresponding total in the 1-12 column.

The totals in the Hits column are for the months in the 1-12 column. For example, if the totals for January 2001 are in position 1 in the 1-12 column, then hits for January 2001 are in position 1 in the Hits column.

Monthly totals and hits are updated when you do the month-end procedure. The following diagram illustrates this change.

Yearly Totals

These boxes show year-to-date sales totals for the current fiscal year and year-end sales totals for the previous fiscal year. These totals are kept for all cataloged items. All of these boxes, except YTD Hits, are updated by general ledger location. The YTD Hits box is updated by inventory location. However, if the Update I-AUX Sales for Inventory Location field in the (LE1) Inventory Parameters screen is set to Y, all these boxes update by inventory location.

These figures are not totals for the 1-12 and 13-24 columns. There are several differences between the column figures and the yearly totals:
