Printing Purchase Order Entry Reports
Printing the Short-Buy Report (Standard)
From the Master Menu, double-click 
. The Reports Menu opens.
From the Reports Menu, double-click 
. The text-based (SR) Purchase Order Reports screen opens.
In the (SR) Purchase Order Reports screen, select the [E] Backorder Reports action code.
Type Y in the Short-Buy Report field.
Type Y in the Keep Short Buy Files For P/Os field to create purchase orders for the items on the report, or type N to not create P/Os for the items on the report.
Note: If you decided to create purchase orders for items on the report at a later date, run this report again.
Type Y in the Print All field to print all items on one report. You should do this at least once a day. This lets you see which items from the SHORT-BUYS file have not yet been put on a purchase order. Viewing these items helps you prevent them from staying in the SHORT-BUYS file indefinitely. Type N to print only those items not previously printed.
Use the Sort Codes fields to set the sorts for this report. Press Enter to accept the default sorts—stock class, vendor account number within each stock class, and item number within each vendor. You can enter up to three sort codes.
Type E to sort by Item Department.
Type D to sort by Invoice Date.
Type P to sort by Vendor Prefix.
Type V to sort by Vendor Number.
Type S to sort by Salesperson Number
Type R to sort by Carrier Route.
Type N to sort by Item Number.
Type C to sort by Customer Name.
Type L to sort by Stock Class.
Type I to sort by Invoice Number.
Note: The SHORT-BUYS file is organized by the sorts you enter. You must either use the same sorts every time you print this report; or delete the SHORT-BUYS file, print the Exceptions Report to reset the ticket status to 6, and then recreate the file by running the Short Buy Report with the new sorts. For information, see Printing the Backorder and Backorder Exceptions Reports.
In the Location field, enter the number of the inventory location for which to print the report. To print the report for all locations, space through this field.
Note: To create a separate SHORT-BUYS file for each location, you must print the Custom Short-Buy Report. For more information, see Printing the Short-Buy Report (Custom).
